The brief for this project was a Masterplan that accommodated future growth in enrolments and to add a new learning centre, to facilitate a two-stream primary school.

The school is home to a State Heritage Listed building, which provided significant design challenges to accommodate the scale of a new, three storey building.  We were able to accommodate the Heritage Item in thoughtful design response that acknowledges the form of the heritage building and conceals the additional storey of the new building.

The result is a design that ‘bookends’ the site, proudly displaying the future on one side, while grounding the school in the community's heritage on the other.
