Corpus Christi Catholic High School - Café & Hospitality Upgrade

Location: Oak Flats, NSW
Completion Date: 2021
Cost: $1.1M
Engagement: Concept Design, Schematic Design, Documentation, Services During Construction

Officially named ‘The Vine’, our brief for this Café and Hospitality space was to create a multiuse space with a focus on community, that could be used for learning, gathering and entertaining purposes.

This community space supports the school’s welcoming ethos and progressive pedagogy.  The flexible design approach allows for a combination of indoor and outdoor learning and gathering opportunities. The design connects seamlessly into a central courtyard enabling the learning to spill out and enjoy a beautiful landscape while maintaining strong visual connections.

This full commercial kitchen is designed to a VET standard and can cater for hundreds through hospitality training or catering for large school events. Furthermore, the adjacent learning space was designed to facilitate serving training. The added benefit is the use of the space in a collaborative learning format.
